Borrowed Time aka (The Legend of Dark Horse and Pale Horse)

Lyrics:
There was a full moon when Dark Horse rode to town
The snow shined light blue on the ground
You couldn't really tell whether it was day or it was night
Or what was wrong or what was right
He stopped by a well to replenish his thirst
Then bolted like thunder kicking up the dirt
He stopped by a girl-child who loved him for what he was
Stroked his proud mane and sang the blues of God
So Dark Horse told the girl-child of his intent
That when his brother'd arrive they'd be hell bent
On fire on brimstone and boiling seas
Time to reap the harvest for eternity
They'll get what's coming oh boy you'll see
When the banks of the Mississippi start to bleed
Have you ever seen the sky go red?
Or wondered what can grow in a field of the dead?
Boy let me tell you
Better yet let's see
When my brother arrives you'll realize you were on borrowed time
Borrowed time, you were all on borrowed time
Borrowed time, borrowed time, you were all on borrowed time

There was no moon when Pale Horse got to town
Walking real slow carrying his head low down
He looked kind of sickly but still walked pretty tall
But everyone kept a distance and just let him get on
So He smashed into the tavern, made his way behind the bar
Kicked at all the liquor than drank it from the floor
Before Pale Horse left he recalled politesse
And obliged to tip the bar keep with shit atop his mess
Now wondering around town
Wreaking of gin
White mane all aflop
Glaring at toothy grin
Was about to kill for fun when he hard a sad gospel song
That sank his Pale Horse heart and brought him back home
He could smell the delta earth
Those wet dead leaves
The call of a thousand bullfrogs
Feel that warm breeze
So He followed the song to it's source
The girl-child and his brother Dark Horse
Reconciliation remembered the reason they'd come
To finish for good what these two brothers' begun
To shoe em all what they couldn't see
- Such glowing feeble creatures will cease to be
With fire on brimstone and boiling seas
Time to reap the harvest for eternity
They'll get what's coming oh boy you'll see
When the banks of the Mississippi start to bleed
Have you ever seen the sky go red?
Or wondered what can grow in a field of the dead?
Boy let me tell you
Better yet let's see
When my brother arrives you'll realize you were on borrowed time
Borrowed time, you were all on borrowed time
Borrowed time, borrowed time, you were all on borrowed time
